An Arab terrorist attempted to run over a number of Israelis in Judea’s Gush Etzion region on Wednesday night.
According to initial reports, Arab rioters threw rocks at two Israeli vehicles – one a security vehicle, the other private – on Route 60 between Beit Ummar and Karmi Tzur.
Passengers from one of the vehicles exited their car carrying weapons to confront the rioters and were subsequently plowed down.
Hatzalah medics provided medical treatment to four Israelis injured in the attack.
One victim was seriously injured and has been brought to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. Three others are lightly injured and will be evacuated to hospitals shortly.
Security forces were quickly dispatched to the scene; the terrorist has reportedly been neutralized.
Kiryat Arba resident, Avraham Hasno, was murdered in a similar terrorist attack near Hevron earlier on Tuesday.
An investigation of the attack found that Hasno was run over by a truck and fatally wounded after being ambushed by Arab rock-throwers at the Al Fawar junction, southwest of Hevron.
A Magen David Adom team provided him with emergency medical care at the scene but could not save him.
