Len Blavatnik Is Britain’s Richest Man With A £13.17 Billion Fortune

Len Blavatnik, owner of Warner Music, is Britain’s richest man with a £13.17 billion fortune, according to The 2015 Sunday Times Rich List.

A year ago Blavatnik was ranked fourth, with a fortune of £10 billion. The Ukrainian born Jewish mogul who made his multi-billion-dollar fortune in the aluminium industry expanded his investment range from oil to music publishing and digital media.

His home in London is worth £41 million. He donated £75 million to Oxford University for the Blavatnik School of Government.

David and Simon Reuben were Russia’s biggest foreign investors in the metal industry in the 1990s. Today their business activities involved real estate, venture capital, and private equity. They ranked 5th with £9.7 and a year ago they took 7th place with a fortune of £9 billion.

Chelsea Football Club owner, Roman Abramovich, ranked number 10 on the list with a fortune of £7.29bn, down £1.23bn from last year.

The collective wealth of Britain’s richest people has more than doubled in the last ten years with the wealthiest 1,000 individuals and families now having a combined fortune of £547.126 billion.
