One woman was fatally shot and two others were wounded outside the Motivo nightclub in the Flatiron District early Monday, according to police.
The women were standing outside the 5th Avenue exit just after 4 a.m. when an unidentified gunman opened fire and then sped off in a dark colored BMW, police sources said.
The shooter was inside the club earlier in the night where he got into an argument with the bouncers, police sources said.
A 24-year-old was shot in the back, a 25-year-old was shot in the hip and foot, and a 30-year-old was shot in the shoulder, cops said.
They were rushed to Bellevue Hospital where the 24-year-old died shortly after, cops said.
Police do not believe the victims were the intended targets.
“They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time,” a source said.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20s and was last seen wearing a red and black hoodie, cops said.
