Brooklyn, NY – An early morning trip to shul turned violent for one Orthodox Jewish man who became the victim of an anti-Semitic attack this past Shabbos.
The unidentified 30 year old man was heading north on Albany Avenue towards 770 Eastern Parkway at 1:30 AM when he was approached by a black male who allegedly said, “What are you doing on my block?” before striking the victim in the face.
The attacker continued his tirade stating, “You Jews hate black people and we hate you too,” and then striking the victim again before fleeing on foot.
Police told TOT News that the victim, who gave police addresses in Brooklyn and Florida, sustained injuries to his right cheek and complained of both pain and dizziness but refused on scene medical attention.
No arrests have been made yet in the case which was referred to the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force.
