A Russian oligarch spared no expense for his son’s wedding — shelling out a rumored $1 billion for the lavish affair.
The weekend nuptials for oil tycoon Mikhail Gutseriev’s son included performances from three pop stars, a nine-tier wedding cake and fireworks after the ceremony.
Said Gutseriev, 28, married his blushing bride 20-year-old dental student Khaija Uzhakhovs — at the star-studded affair Saturday at Moscow’s extravagant restaurant Safisa, according to the Telegraph.
Uzhakhovs wore a custom, $1 million Elie Saab long-sleeved dress imported from Paris. The gem-encrusted gown was so heavy — with some reports estimating it weighed as much as 25 pounds — that the brunette beauty needed people to help her walk around.
She paired the princess-style dress with a slew of diamond accessories including a blingy necklace, teardrop earrings and a jeweled tiara.
Photos snapped by some of the 600 guests showed pink and white flowers dripping from the ceiling — as was their massive wedding cake that towered over the reception hall that was topped with a crescent moon and star to commemorate the newlyweds’ Muslim faith.
The opulent night included performances from Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Sting.
J.Lo performed some of her biggest hits — including “On the Floor,” “Dance Again” and “Get Right” — and changed at least three times, according to ContactMusic.
Instagram videos show the “Jenny From The Block” singer wearing a skin-tight black and silver body suit while telling the crowd that pronouncing the newlyweds’ names was “the hardest thing I had to do today.”
It was unclear how much Gutseriev shelled out for her performance, but she reportedly was paid more than $1 million to perform three songs for the Turkmenistan president back in 2013.
A variety of cuisines were served throughout the night, including a European-style feast and a sushi bar.
But this isn’t the only celebration planned for the lovebirds, who are set to have another ceremony in London soon. Elton John and Beyonce are rumored to be performing there.
Gutseriev is worth an estimated $6.2 million, according to Forbes. The 58-year-old businessman owns two oil companies — Russneft and Neftisa — as well as a Russian radio station.
There has been a four-year hunt for the perfect match for his son, according to Russian media.
Ukhakhovs was chosen because she fit the mold the family was looking for, which included “to be beautiful, a virgin, shy and not public,” according to the Russian Tatler magazine.
