De Blasio Security officer Shot With Pellet Gun

The man who shot a member of Mayor de Blasio’s security team with a BB gun near Gracie Mansion was slapped with a slew of charges, cops said early Monday.

Michael Veritsky, 20, was charged with assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief, cops said.

Cops say he was taking shots out a window of his apartment at 170 East End Ave., across from the mayor’s official residence.

A plainclothes detective was hit in the buttocks while getting out of her car about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday. She was treated and released from Lenox Hill Hospital, police said.

Veritsky is a known troublemaker, according to his neighbors. He has six prior arrests including a robbery from 2012, cops said.

His girlfriend, Gabrielle Gleyberman, 19, who sources say was with him at the time, has not yet been charged with a crime, pending investigation.

When cops went to his home, Gleyberman tried to distract them, and he sneaked out a separate door and fled downstairs, according to law-enforcement sources. He was apprehended outside.

Investigators executing a search warrant found a BB rifle in a drop ceiling in the apartment, sources said.
