Former Tel Aviv district prosecutor Ruth David, suspected of facilitating bribes and obstructing justice in the case against attorney Ronel Fisher, fainted Friday, shortly before a hearing in Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court.
Ruth David, the former Chief Prosecutor for the Tel Aviv District, was arrested Tuesday and spent the night in custody. She is suspected of obstruction of justice and corruption-related offenses in the investigation that centers on Ronel Fisher, a prominent attorney and journalist.
Ofer Nimrodi, the former publisher, editor-in-chief and one of the owners of Israeli daily newspaper Maariv, and a very well-known Israeli businessman, was arrested Monday for allegedly bribing attorney Ronel Fisher.
