POLICE are investigating after a woman stabbed a man in a brazen daylight attack in front of dozens of schoolchildren yesterday.
Emergency services were called to St Kilda East’s Yeshivah-Beth Rivkah College after the attack that saw the woman slash the man with a knife about 3.30pm.
Dozens of schoolchildren who were waiting to be picked up are believed to have witnessed the incident.
It is not known what sparked the attack but witnesses said the couple were estranged from each other.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed the victims and attacker were known to each other.
She said the man suffered a slash wound to his hand.
Police are making further inquiries and have not yet laid charges.
