Gov. Cuomo’s longtime girlfriend, television chef Sandra Lee, was rushed to a hospital Tuesday night in an emergency related to her recent double mastectomy, sources said.
The problem was an extremely painful fluid buildup in the area where she underwent the surgery in May, according to a close friend.
Lee was conscious and alert when taken to the hospital, but her condition was not immediately known.
“She’s going to be in for a couple of days,” the pal said. “She started having pain. She knew something was wrong.
It’s some sort of fluid buildup and pain. She was just feeling general fatigue and run down.”
The governor left his pal Billy Joel’s farewell concert for the soon-to-be shuttered Nassau Coliseum on Long Island to rush to his gal pal’s side.
“He’s en route,” the source close to Lee said.
