You would be forgiven for thinking Donald Trump only had one daughter.
It was the glamorous Ivanka, 34, who introduced her father as he announced his run for president, and it was her that Trump recently chose to appear alongside him on Saturday Night Live.
But on Friday, his other daughter, Tiffany, finally broke her silence about her relationship with her father and his presidential campaign.
Appearing on ABC’s 20/20 with her half-siblings Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka, Tiffany, 22, explained why her father was the best man to become President.
‘He’s true to himself,’ she said. ‘And he speaks in a way that the average person can understand. I think that’s refreshing for everyone.
‘I’m so happy to be Tiffany Trump, happy to be in the family I’m in,’ she added.
She also cracked jokes about her father’s trademark hairstyle, saying he was glad she had not taken after him in that respect.
Tiffany said: ‘It’s funny because my dad always says I’m really happy you got your mom’s hair and not my hair.’
Tiffany has always been slightly separated from the rest of the Trump family.
The daughter of Trump’s second wife, Marla Maples, Tiffany saw her father just a couple of weeks a year after her parents divorced when she was five.
She moved to Califonia with Maples, while Trump continued to work in New York. Her only interaction with the Trumps would come during an annual two-week stay at her father’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Her isolation may have started because of the nature of her parents’ relationship.
In 1990, reports swirled that Trump and his first wife Ivana – the mother of Donald Jr, Eric and Ivanka – were set to break up after he supposedly had an affair.
The New York Post said Ivana was reported to have confronted Maples while skiing in Aspen and said: ‘You bitch, leave my husband alone.’
Maples told the Press that Trump was ‘the best sex I’ve ever had’. Months later he was divorcing Ivana and moving in with Maples.
A year later Tiffany was born, and within months her parents got married.
But just five years down the line, the couple split up, leaving Tiffany to be brought up mainly by her mother.
Following Trump’s announcement that he was running for president, college student TIffany has come somewhat out of her shell.
As well as her appearance on 20/20, she has been seen mingling in the sidelines of Republican presidential debates.
She appeared at one earlier this year alongside her siblings and The Donald’s third wife Melania, with whom he had his fifth child, Barron, in 2006.
All of his five children, except nine-year-old Barron, appeared on 20/20 on Friday.
Eric, 31, discussed what he believes people in America might not know about his father.
‘His humor is one of his best qualities, and it doesn’t come across on the news when he’s talking about serious issues,’ said Eric.
‘But he’s incredibly funny. He’s an incredibly practical person.’
The four were also asked why it was Ivanka who was asked to introduce their father when he announced he would be seeking the Republican nomination for president this past June in a speech at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, but no one was quite sure.
‘That’s an excellent question, and I don’t know exactly how it was decided but I was honored to do it and I feel like I was sort of standing there representing our family,’ Ivanka said.
Eric chimed in: ‘And she did an amazing job by the way.’
Donald Jr. added to that: ‘She’s a great messenger, she’s got great poise and I think the way Ivanka delivered the message was perfect.’
