Brad Pitt has bombshell audio tapes he plans to use against Angelina Jolie in their bitter child custody battle, according to reports Friday.
The embarrassing recordings may hurt Jolie’s chances at winning primary custody of their six kids, the London Sun reported.
“We believe audio tapes exist of Angelina that would be absolutely dynamite against her if they were to be made public,” an insider told the paper.
The tapes would be the first major legal salvo fired by Pitt and his legal team after Jolie’s lawyers said they planned to prove he hit one of their children, the source said.
“Nobody wants to play dirty like that it’s not good for the children but Angelina and her team seem absolutely hell-bent on trying to discredit Brad in order to stop him getting joint custody,” the source said.
Pitt was never physically abusive with the kids but he did have an argument with son Maddox on an airplane, the source said. Pitt was cleared of abuse allegations by the LA County Department of Children and Family Services this week.
Pitt wants to compromise on custody arrangements rather than duke it out in court, the paper reported.
“Brad has made it obvious that he wants to come to a mature arrangement and stop throwing dirt at each other,” the source said.
The source didn’t say exactly what’s on the tapes.
On Wednesday, Pitt made an appearance at the premiere of his movie “Allied” in Los Angeles sans his wedding ring.
Jolie filed for divorce on Sept. 19 and is seeking sole custody of their six kids.
