Nicki Minaj’s Los Angeles home was burglarized over the weekend and insiders say it may have been someone sending a message.
Minaj’s Beverly Hills mansion, nestled in a gated community, was ransacked over the weekend, TMZ reports.
Burglars reportedly made off with close to $200,000 worth of the rapper’s jewelry, but they didn’t stop at theft. Sources told the site that it seemed “personal,” as the burglars also destroyed and vandalized Minaj’s personal property, cutting up her clothes, smashing bottles of perfume, breaking picture frames and wrecking her furniture.
Thankfully, Minaj, 34, wasn’t home at the time of the incident. Police told TMZ that there are signs of forced entry and that they’re keeping an eye out for surveillance footage, but that no suspects have been named yet in the case.
Neither the LAPD nor Minaj’s rep immediately returned a request for comment.
